UHMW Material Description
UHMW stands for Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMW-PE).
It is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic known for exceptional wear resistance, impact strength, and chemical stability.
UHMW-PE is easy to identify because it floats in water, a result of its low density. Compared to many engineering plastics, UHMW offers outstanding abrasion resistance while remaining lightweight and corrosion-proof.
